"Oxford Pro Bono Publico (OPBP), previously known as Oxford Public Interest Lawyers, is a group of law post-graduate and Law Faculty members dedicated to the practice of public interest law on a pro bono basis. Specifically, the function of OPBP is to prepare or assist in the preparation of: research briefs; expert opinions; amicus curiae briefs; policy submissions; and reports.
OPBP has worked over recent years on a number of diverse, high profile human rights and public interest cases. These include providing an expert opinion on the legality of the Israeli separation barrier, investigation into the legal status of prisoners held at Guantanamo Bay, and research on the treatment of homosexuals in the US military for litigation in US Federal Court.
We welcome project submissions from pro bono lawyers, NGOs and other international organizations involved in the protection of human rights and the promotion of public interest law."
